Ideally, emergency medical help should be just a phone call away and available round the clock. There should be a special number easily remembered in emergencies.

On receipt of such a call - at any time of the day or night - a first aid team should rush to the patient. This team should consist of a doctor a nurse and a driver in an ambulance equipped with all the modern tools to help revive patients.

This team MUST reach the patient within 30 minutes of the onset of the heart attack. Hence there should be several "hospital stations" all over the city, strategically located and with their own ICCUs, with beds kept vacant for emergencies.
