- All the expenses incurred in taking a patient from his/her place to the hospital have to be borne by the hospital.

- The hospital must have capable doctors, nurses and attendants in the ICCU, and good drivers who know every one of the lanes/bylanes of the city/town. Such a team must be available round the clock.

The following is a checklist of essential requirements:
- Ambulance, Maruti Omni van, fully air-conditioned.
- Defibrillator with monitor (BPL or other make)
- ECG machine (BPL or other make)
- Essential drugs necessary to stabilise a patient
- Stationery such as log book register for keeping records
- Case details to be filled in triplicate: for the doctor, the hospital and the HEART BRIGADE.

The above requirements are absolutely essential, but more than these it is the personnel behind them that have to be of top class.
